First thing I made is a brass frame out of some angle material I had lying around.

I also made the legs out of angle material.

Then I fitted some wood into the frame.
I built a brass box that would hold the clock mechanism and face.

The light fittings and some fluorescent lamps.

Choosing the stained glass.
As with all choosing, an essential part is a rose wine the help with the 'artistic judgment'.

The rest is basic stained glass work, namely cutting, foiling and soldering.

I soldered in a top and as is typical with anyone who first starts with steam punk, I used copper and brass plumbing fittings.

I heat coloured the copper clock face.
I set some paste glass stones that I cut into silver tubes that I had soldered into the face.

I used gold foil to texture the bottom.
I made some funky clock hands out old brass stock.
