This is a Pells Fishing Owl claw cast in silver. This bird is highly protected. I was doing work for the Avian Demgraphic Unit of the University of Cape Town and we were monitoring a breeding female in Kasane in Norhtern Botswana. Then the local witch doctor caught and killed her for bush medicine and hocus pocus magic that the locals practice there.
I was seriously pissed off, so I saved the parts of her left and cast her feet into slver, so in a manner she still lives on.
Centipeed. When I cast these and they are in the oven during a burnout cycle, there is a window of about a hour, where the burmout smells just like backing biscuits.
This gogga is unfinished.
A dung beetle, very common in the area where I lived and comes in a 200 grams of silver.
